The Farm

We found this land by luck a few years ago and by today it became the only place in the near which is concerned with western riding.

Our home, Nagykozar is a peaceful and quiet village situated right next to the mediterranean, bustling town, Pecs at the foot of the hills called Mecsek.

We had lots of constructions to do because of the farm’s location – where a huge low hill used to be, now we have the flat arena with the obstacles needed for trail class (gate, bridge, poles, railes, etrc.). My Dad built a round pen 18 metres in diameter which satisfies all demands: I can work with green broke horses as well as training the older ones and gives enough space for novice riders to ride alone but safe at the same time.

The horses are kept in twos in their own pens and a 6 x 3 meter boxes. These shelters are three sided and have a roof so shady enough in summer time and protective in winter or storms.

Though we have 2 boxes built from bricks right next to our house to have sick horses or foaling mares in our sight we belive God created horses to live under the big blue sky so we are not planning to build a solid stable.

We have 4 and a half acres of pasture as well where our horses and foals can run and graze all day long.
